error: Free usage exceeded, subscribe to Go

Description

The day before yesterday, I started using the OpenCode DeepSeek V4 Flash Free model via OpenCode Zen. At first, everything worked. At about 3 a.m., I went to bed. Today I decided to try it and it doesn't work for me now. The error is given by Free usage exceeded, subscribe to Go. I thought I had a problem with my account, so I changed my account. For the first few minutes, I thought I had fixed it, but no. Still the same mistake. What should I do? My friend doesn't have such a problem.

Same symptom here, and it turned out not to be an account problem. opencode (Zen) and opencode-go are two different providers whose model names overlap — 16 of the 24 Go models have an identically named twin in Zen, so the picker shows e.g. glm-5.2 twice, but only the Go one is covered by a Go subscription. Zen -free models hit the free-tier limit that the UI renders as "Free usage exceeded, subscribe to Go". After connecting Go my log still showed 189 providerID=opencode / 0 providerID=opencode-go — the request never reached Go. Selecting the model from the OpenCode Go group fixed it.

If it happened while your session was compacting, you also have to press stop first: the retry loop survives app restarts and ignores the model picker until aborted. Measurements and log excerpts: #42035

I ran into this issue around 3 PM as well. It seems the build agent is working, the issue is simply that the agents cannot be used. a few of the other free models still work, but they dont match the power of "Big Pickle" or its other free models. I hope its just a bug that gets fixed, rather than the models becoming paid features
