Survival LLM 0.3.0
A free AI assistant and survival library that runs entirely on your own computer, with no internet needed once it's set up. Ask it about food safety in a blackout, burns, water purification, generators or repairs: it searches an offline library of about 1.5 million articles and shows you where each answer came from.
New in 0.3.0
- Memory: tell it about yourself (your daughter's penicillin allergy, the generator you own, which of your files matters most) and it saves a short note, so later chats know it too. Under each answer you see what it saved, with Undo. Memory, at the top, shows every note in one list you can edit, and a switch turns off the AI's saving (it still reads the notes you keep). The notes stay on your computer.
Fixed in 0.3.0
- "CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED" when downloading the library: on computers whose network or antivirus uses its own certificates (common on work laptops), the library, engine and update downloads failed while models downloaded fine. The app now checks certificates the way your computer does. If you hit this error, Check for updates can't reach the update either, so download 0.3.0 below by hand; your models, library and files stay where they are.
- Sources: the AI can no longer open an article it never found in a search, which once put an unrelated article in an answer's Sources.
Already on 0.2.x? Click Check for updates at the bottom of the window.

Survival LLM 0.2.1
A free AI assistant and survival library that runs entirely on your own computer, with no internet needed once it's set up. Ask it about food safety in a blackout, burns, water purification, generators or repairs: it searches an offline library of about 1.5 million articles and shows you where each answer came from.
Fixed in 0.2.1
- No more false "Not enough free disk space": on a Mac the app now counts free space the way System Settings does, including space macOS frees when something needs it. The old count could be tens of GB lower.
- Installing Everything needs about 27 GB free instead of 36: the app unpacks straight from the downloaded parts and deletes each one as it goes.
- If the disk fills up during an install, the app says so plainly and cleans up after itself, and trying again only downloads what it has to.
Already on 0.2.0? Click Check for updates at the bottom of the window.

- Your files: add your own PDFs, Word documents, ebooks, web pages and notes (your generator's manual, a medicines list, your family's emergency plan) and the AI searches them along with the library. Drop them on the window or use Your files at the top. They stay on your computer.
- Updates: Check for updates, at the bottom of the window, installs new versions in one click and keeps your models, library and files. The app also checks once a day while it runs.
- Checked sources: the AI names the sources it used, and the app checks that line against the articles it actually opened or saw. A line that names anything else is replaced with the list of what it read.
