Highlights

Workspace discovery no longer mistakes the user's ~/.code-kb directory for a project root.

Bug Fixes

  • Bare .code-kb is not a root marker: root discovery walked up from the start path and stopped at the first ancestor with a .git or .code-kb directory. ~/.code-kb holds telemetry and plugin downloads, so a repository without .git under the home directory (a Cargo, npm, Go, or Python project) bound to the home directory instead of itself. Only .code-kb/artifact.db counts now; .git and the language markers are unchanged.
  • Release gate: scripts/release-preflight.sh now refuses to pass unless GitHub CI succeeded on the exact commit at HEAD, and docs/RELEASING.md puts that wait before tagging and before publishing crates.
