can't rename or delete a custom MCP connector from Customize

Problem Statement

I'm trying to rename a custom connector to an MCP server. I can't find a rename option, and when I look for a way to delete my existing connector so I can re-add it with the name I want, I can't find a way to delete to old connector.

Proposed Solution

1. provide a rename option, so I can rename my connector
2. provide a way to delete custom connectors, not just disconnect from them

confirming this. This is actual a significant issue:
In our case we added custom connector...

• connections fails
• cannot remove the custom connector
• cannot edit the custom connector
• cannot add new custom connector because url already exists

Hence the defect connector stuck with no ability to edit/ create new one.

I had a similar issue in Claude Desktop, but when I opened the website (claude.ai) the connector could be deleted properly.

There is no way unfortunately to remove it. I tried the web-version as well, same behavior like on the Desktop App.
Note: This is an unconnected Connector (unsuccessful connection). No ability to edit or remove.

Thank you for taking the time to report this — the inability to delete or rename a custom connector is a real friction point and we hear you. We're currently triaging open MCP issues, and this one is being closed in favor of tracking the suggestion in #73, which covers the same gap (no remove/rename in the Customize → Connectors UI) and already carries a backlog label.

In the meantime, two workarounds reported in #73 may help unblock you:

• The legacy connectors page at claude.ai/settings/connectors still supports removing custom connectors.
• The backend DELETE /api/organizations/{orgId}/mcp/remote_servers/{serverUuid} endpoint works directly (see No way to remove custom MCP connectors from claude.ai UI #73 for how to find the server UUID).

Please follow #73 for updates and feel free to add any additional context there.

Why closed? not enhancement -- a bug if i can't delete them
