[FEATURE] Disallow or confirm before sending Slack messages to large public channels #10944

Description

Preflight Checklist

  • I have searched existing requests and this feature hasn't been requested yet
  • This is a single feature request (not multiple features)

Problem Statement

I was doing some development on a Slack bot in Claude Code, and it decided ignore my explicit request to use my personal handle/DM and change it to #general, which resulted in a message being sent to the entire company. This has caused significant and irreparable harm.

Claude Code should not autonomously change a designated Slack channel from one that is more restrictive/private, to one that is permissive/public. It should be similarly cautious when working in any related space around access control, permissions, or message privacy/visibility.

Proposed Solution

Claude needs to pause, stop and ask the user for confirmation before autonomously deciding to execute something that is effectively a "privilege escalation."
