[BUG] when claude on interactive mode will use 100% cpu(one core) on macOS #11339

What's Wrong?

  • when i use claude code doing multi task on different project,
    and hang on interactive prompts,
    the process will use 100% one core cpu let my macbook air on high temperature (75~80c)

  • this issue was keep a long time from v2.0.2x -> v2.0.36(now),
    it let me very nervous me when i run tasks and AFK.

What Should Happen?

not use 100% cpu on interactive mode

Steps to Reproduce

  • step 1. use prompts i'm debug, show a interactive prompts for me (use english) trigger interactive mode

  • step 2. interactive input show (you can see the cpu usage & temperature is normal)

  • step 3. the process start use 100% cpu (one core?)

  • step 4. the process temperature from 47c -> 70c on 2 min

  • step 5. after stop interactive mode the cpu usage & temperature back to normal
