What's Wrong?

Skills installed via ~/.claude/skills/ and plugins are functional in Claude Desktop's Code tab — they appear in the / slash menu and trigger correctly. However, the Customize -> Skills panel in Claude Desktop
doesn't list them, making it appear as if no skills are installed.

• Environment: Claude Desktop (macOS), Claude Code CLI alongside
• Skills installed in ~/.claude/skills/ (5 skills via symlinks) and via plugins (specsmith, datasmith-pg, etc.)
• Slash menu correctly enumerates all skills
• Skills trigger correctly during conversations
• Customize -> Skills panel shows nothing

What Should Happen?

Skills installed via ~/.claude/skills/ should be listed in Customize -> Skills panel in Claude Desktop

I installed a plugin containing three skills via a custom marketplace. The plugin and the marketplace are both Github repos.

I don't see the skills being invoked or listed in the Claude Desktop Chat (Mac), but the slash commands do list the skills in the Claude Code tab

I'm new to Claude's world and what I've found more annoying is that you need to setup everything twice, one for Claude Desktop and another for Claude .. it should be the same, isn't it? I haven't been able to add skills to claude desktop in OSX as this bug reports.
