[BUG] Claude Code ignoring auto accept edits mode

What's Wrong?

For example when I tell CC to make changes to a .tex Document and have the auto accept edits mode on, CC still asks every time if it could update this file.

What Should Happen?

CC should automatically edit the file when this mode is on

1. Enable auto accept edits mode
2. Ask CC to make changes to a document / file
3. CC will ask every time when it want to make changes

This is an ongoing bug that still affects the windows terminal claude-code, i.e., not just vscode plugin. Hard to believe no one paid attention!!
