I redeemed a Claude Max 20x gift subscription on April 10, 2026 (1 month). It should be active until May 10, 2026. On April 13, the subscription disappeared completely with no action on my part — account reverted to Free plan.

This matches the pattern reported in issues #45335, #31012, and #20363 — gift subscriptions being silently canceled after a few days due to a backend/Stripe billing bug.

Expected behavior: Max 20x subscription active until May 10, 2026.
Actual behavior: Account shows Free plan since April 13.

I am experiencing the exact same issue. I want to add some specific details from my case that might help the engineering team pinpoint the backend sync issue between the billing systems.

Timeline & Symptoms:

Redeemed a Claude Pro Gift subscription on April 10, 2026.

Everything worked fine until today (April 15), when the account was silently reverted to the "Free plan". No suspension banners, no emails.

In my Settings > Billing, the invoice for April 10th is clearly marked as "Paid" ($0.00).

Critical Finding (Support Bot Routing Issue):
When I tried to resolve this through the Intercom support bot (Fin AI), it revealed a major discrepancy in how user accounts are being queried. The bot completely ignored my Claude Pro account and stated:

"I found one plan associated with your account: Pavel's Individual Org - API plan"

Conclusion:
It appears the system is successfully applying the gift to the claude.ai (Pro) database and generating a valid invoice, but the underlying subscription status checks (and the Support AI tools) are defaulting to the console.anthropic.com (API) database, failing to see the active Pro status.

I have attached screenshots showing the successful "Paid" invoice on my account and the bot confirming it is only looking at my API organization plan.

Hopefully, this helps the billing engineers deploy a fix soon!

Same issue here — Max 20x gift subscription silently downgraded to Free plan.

• Gift subscription: Claude Max 20x (redeemed April 13, 2026)
• Should be active until May 13, 2026 (1 month)
• Invoice and confirmation email received, gift shows as successfully redeemed
• After a recent version update the account was silently downgraded to Free plan with no notification, no cancellation, and no action from my side
• Claude Code is completely inaccessible
• Support (Fin AI Agent) only loops with "Resubscribe and pay again" and refuses to escalate (Conversation ID: 215473951610679)

This is exactly the same bug described in this issue and several others (#47286, #47290, #47284, #45335, #46309, #48821 etc.).

I have full proof:

• Screenshot of billing page showing Free plan
• Gift redemption confirmation
• Invoice + confirmation email with dates

I am not willing to pay again via Resubscribe and I am not requesting a refund. I expect manual restoration of the paid Max 20x access for the remaining period.

@anthropics team — please investigate the backend synchronization between gift redemptions and account plan status. Many users are affected right now in April 2026.

This is the second time this has happened to me. The subscription was a Claude Max 20x gift with ~19 days remaining. It disappeared mid-session while actively using Claude Code — one moment everything was working, then Claude Code threw a "not logged in" error, and upon checking claude.ai the account had silently reverted to Free.

Billing confirms a successful payment. No action was taken on my end — no cancellation, no payment method change.

Support (Fin) acknowledged the issue but stated it cannot manually restore the subscription or escalate the ticket.

Attaching payment receipt. This is a recurring backend/billing bug that is actively affecting gift subscription users and leaving them without recourse through official support channels.

My Claude Max 5x gift subscription silently disappeared after 14 days with no notification and no action on my part.

I am experiencing the exact same issue. My Max 20x gift subscription was activated on April 14, 2026 (Receipt #2284-5964-2552) and worked fine until yesterday, April 26, when it was silently downgraded to Free.

Conflict: Backend sync error between "API organization" (Folkon's Individual Org) and Claude.ai subscription status.

Evidence: Billing page shows "Paid" $0.00 invoices, but the UI only shows the "Upgrade plan" button. No "Resubscribe" option is available.

This is clearly a systemic bug in the Stripe/Entitlement synchronization logic. Please manually restore my access.
