What's Wrong?
Bug: Pro subscription not recognized in VS Code extension
What's wrong?
I have an active Claude Pro subscription on my personal account, but the VS Code extension shows this error:
"Your organization has disabled Claude subscription access for Claude Code · Use an Anthropic API key instead, or ask your admin to enable access"
What I've already tried:
/status in Claude Code shows the correct personal account with Pro plan
- Deleted
~/.claude folder completely
- Reinstalled the extension multiple times
- Confirmed no
ANTHROPIC_API_KEY environment variable is set
- Reloaded VS Code window
Expected behavior:
Being able to use Claude Code with my Pro subscription.
Environment:
- OS: macOS
- Auth method: Claude subscription (personal account)
- Plan: Pro (active and verified)
Notes:
The error message mentions "organization" but I am using a personal account, not a Team or Enterprise plan. The subscription appears correctly in /status but the extension still blocks access.
What Should Happen?
Claude shoud log in
