[BUG] Claude Desktop app (macOS): projects not showing in sidebar despite same account working on browser

What's Wrong?

After installing the Claude Desktop app (V1.7196.0) on macOS (Tahoe 26.3.1 (a)) and signing in with the same account used on the browser, projects are not visible in the sidebar. Recent conversations appear correctly, confirming the account is properly synced. Signing out and back in does not resolve the issue. Projects remain fully accessible on claude.ai in Chrome with the same account.

What Should Happen?

Projects created on claude.ai should appear in the Claude Desktop app sidebar, just like recent conversations do, since both use the same account.

Steps to Reproduce

Create one or more projects on claude.ai in a browser.
Install the Claude Desktop app on macOS and sign in with the same account.
Observe the sidebar: recent conversations are visible, but no projects appear.
Sign out and sign back in.
Projects are still not visible in the sidebar.
