[BUG] Claude Desktop app crashes when opening Code tab (v1.11847.5)

What's Wrong?

The Claude Desktop app crashes approximately 30 seconds after opening the Code tab. The crash occurs even when navigating into a conversation. The New Session tab fails to load stats before the crash happens.

Actual behavior:
App crashes after ~30 seconds when Code tab is open. Stats in New Session tab don't load.

Additional context:
App version: Claude 1.11847.5 (9692f0) 2026-06-09T17:34:27.000Z
The app opens normally when closed on Cowork or Chat tabs
Issue is specific to the Code tab

Already tried: signing out/in, clearing cache and restart, reset app data - issue persists

What Should Happen?

Code tab should load normally and display stats in the New Session tab without crashing.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open Claude Desktop app (version 1.11847.5)
2. Navigate to the Code tab
3. Wait approximately 30 seconds, seeing stats being loaded under Code -> New Session tab. Stats never load
4. App crashes

If you need to get it working immediately in Desktop, try removing the large transcripts (including subagent transcripts). (more details here #67594 (comment))

Or switch to Claude Code CLI (resume the session there) until this is resolved.
