Allow reordering/pinning of session groups in the sidebar

Summary

Add a way to manually reorder (or pin) the groups of sessions shown in the left sidebar of the Claude Code desktop app.

Current behavior

Sessions are grouped by project in the left sidebar, and the groups appear to be ordered automatically (by recent activity). There is no way to control the order of the groups:

• No drag-and-drop reordering of groups
• No pin-to-top / favorite for a group
• Nothing in config.json or the app preferences that maps to group order (the per-session metadata is stored as individual JSON files and the grouping/order is derived at runtime)

Why this would help

People who keep several long-running projects open end up with the group they care about most jumping around as activity changes. A stable, user-controlled order makes the sidebar much easier to navigate.

Proposed options (any one would help)

• Drag-and-drop to reorder groups
• Pin / favorite a group so it stays at the top
• A sort toggle (e.g. manual / alphabetical / most-recent)

Same request — with "group by" enabled I organize chats into named groups, but the groups themselves are locked to creation order, so a group I want at the bottom stays at the top and I can't move it. Manual drag-to-reorder (or pin-to-top/bottom) for groups would solve this.

+1 on this — the activity-based reordering is a real pain at scale.

I run ~10+ groups in the Code sidebar, organized one-per-company/entity across a
holding group. Because groups auto-sort by most recent activity, they constantly
jump around and I lose track of where each one is — every switch becomes a hunt.

What would fix it for me, in priority order:

1. A sort toggle with an alphabetical option (deterministic, zero maintenance).
2. Pin/favorite to keep a few key groups at the top.
3. Drag-and-drop for a fully custom order.

Even just alphabetical sorting would solve 90% of the problem. Thanks!

Yeah, I desperately need this feature as well. It seems like the custom groups display in the order they are created, which is really annoying. I've tried every possible workaround, and the only one that I've found (and it's entirely unsustainable) is to recreate groups in order and move sessions to those groups, which is horrible, and obviously it breaks if you need to add a new group somewhere within the existing order structure.
If you allow drag-and-drop reordering, manual ordering would solve the problem 100% for me.

Adding my support to this. Across our team we rely on grouping Claude Code sessions by client and project, and not being able to reorder those groups makes the sidebar harder to navigate day to day. Manual reordering or pinning would be a big usability win.
