[BUG] Haiku 4.5 does not appear in model selector

What's Wrong?

I upgraded to Claude Code v2.0.17, which is supposed to add Haiku 4.5 to the model selector. However, I only see Sonnet 4.5. Is Haiku 4.5 only available on Max plans?

What Should Happen?

Haiku 4.5 should appear in model selector

Same here, however /model haiku works and uses haiku 4.5

Yes /model haiku works for me too but it shows up as a custom model.

I'm on Linux (NixOS) and haiku did not show up, however, /model haiku works for me as well, but shows up in the model selector as a custom model.

Same problem. Not available in model selector.

This morning, when I opened claude-code, it said that the model I was using was Haiku 3.5 for the welcome message. When I select sonnet 4.5 in the model selector and switch back to "haiku custom model", it always resolves to Haiku 3.5. However, when I run /model claude-haiku-4-5-20251001, this does resolve correctly.

The Claude 4.5 Haiku model is not available in the VS Studio Code extension but can be manually forced using the --model claude-haiku-4-5-20251001 start flag in the terminal version (but it's not selectable by default via model selector). Adding to VS Studio code would be helpful as well.
