Four bulk operations on Chrome's native multi-tab selection, from the tab strip
right-click menu: sort by domain, group by domain, reverse, and close duplicates.

Behaviour worth knowing

Sort and reverse refuse selections containing grouped tabs. Chrome rewrites
multi-tab moves to keep groups contiguous, which produces an arrangement
different from the one computed and can evict a member from an existing group
with no error raised. Both were measured, not assumed — see test/EVIDENCE.md.
Group by domain and dedupe are allowed, though neither leaves groups untouched.

Dedupe never closes a tab whose URL is unknown. Tab.url is empty before a
navigation commits, so two unknowns are not two duplicates. Closing is the only
irreversible operation here.

Sort and reverse gather the selection into a block at the leftmost selected
position rather than reordering in place.

Testing

74 checks across two dependency-free suites: 50 over the pure planning layer,
24 over the Chrome adapter against a fake chrome global, covering rejected
queries, short moves, and partial grouping failures.

Chrome-dependent behaviour measured by hand on 151.0.7922.138 / macOS 26.5.2,
with raw before/after states in test/EVIDENCE.md. Scenarios still unmeasured —
split view, pinned anchors, cross-window selection — are listed in
docs/SCOPE.md rather than left implicit.

Requirements

Chrome 151 or later.
