v2.7.11
SIMtrace Analyser v2.7.11 — install/docs fix on top of v2.7.10.
What's new
- Windows launchers —
start.batnow passes--db/DBto the server (it
only stored the value before) and sends--gsmtap-portonly for gsmtap
capture, matchingstart.sh. Both.batfiles quote their values and keep
the quoting of pass-through options, so paths with spaces
(--db "C:\My Data\…",--web-dir,--pcap,--output) work. - Install docs — the READMEs describe both install paths (release
artifacts or a git clone), name the launchers, and document the Windows
python-on-PATHrequirement.
Install (wheel)
The PWA is bundled inside the package, so the server serves the UI without a
checkout:
pip install ./simtrace_analyser-2.7.11-py3-none-any.whl
simtrace-analyser-server --capture gsmtap
# → open http://127.0.0.1:8081/or straight from this release:
pip install https://github.com/anttro/simtrace-analyser/releases/download/v2.7.11/simtrace_analyser-2.7.11-py3-none-any.whlIf your system Python is externally managed (PEP 668 — common on Arch and
Fedora), install into a virtual environment first:
python3 -m venv .venv && . .venv/bin/activate.
Source archive
The auto-generated Source code (zip / tar.gz) below is the full tree without
the git history — unzip and run ./start.sh (Linux/macOS) or start.bat
(Windows), exactly like a clone.
Requirements
Python ≥ 3.9; pyusb is installed as a dependency. Direct SIMtrace2 capture
on Linux additionally needs the attached 70-simtrace2-pysniff.rules udev rule.
