The 0.3 line out of beta. Every file tool in one free app that runs on your computer, now with a website, one-line installers and much smaller downloads.

Install in one line

  • macOS and Linux: curl -fsSL https://panoply.anzalabidi.dev/install.sh | sh
  • Windows: irm https://panoply.anzalabidi.dev/install.ps1 | iex

They pick the file for your chip, download it over four connections, check it against SHA256SUMS and install without admin rights. Every download is also listed with its size and checksum at https://panoply.anzalabidi.dev.

New since v0.3.0-beta

  • Website: https://panoply.anzalabidi.dev
  • One-line installers for macOS, Linux and Windows.
  • Smaller downloads: .tar.xz archives of the macOS and Linux apps and the command line. The Apple silicon app is 12 MB this way.
  • The Linux command line archive now ships panoply with its execute bit.

Everything in 0.3: an MCP server for AI agents, PDF redaction that removes the text, zip and unzip, a calculator in the bar, sharing to nearby devices, noise removal and text to speech. Full list in CHANGELOG.md.

Install

  • macOS: the .dmg, .zip or the smaller .tar.xz (arm64 for Apple Silicon, x64 for Intel), or
    brew tap anzal1/panoply https://github.com/anzal1/panoply then
    brew install --cask anzal1/panoply/panoply
  • Windows: the .msi or .zip, or scoop bucket add panoply https://github.com/anzal1/panoply
    then scoop install panoply/panoply
  • Linux: the .AppImage, or the .tar.gz or smaller .tar.xz (run install.sh inside)
  • Command line only: the panoply-cli-* archives
  • Claude Desktop: the panoply-mcp-*.mcpb for your system, opened by double click

Verify a download: sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS --ignore-missing, or
gh attestation verify <file> --repo anzal1/panoply to check it was built by this repository's workflow.

This release is unsigned on purpose (no Apple Developer account, no Windows certificate yet), so
macOS and Windows warn on first launch:

  • macOS: open System Settings > Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway, or run
    xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Panoply.app once.
  • Windows: on the SmartScreen page choose More info, then Run anyway. winget and Scoop installs avoid most of this.
