Repository navigation
v0.50.0
Codex now has native Plan, Review and history compaction actions in the model and tools picker. Review uncommitted changes, a branch, a commit, or a custom prompt; compact and continue the same native thread.
- Select every reasoning level offered by the model, including none, minimal and ultra, alongside the compact 1–5 controls. Connection and speed options are available in the active picker.
- Standard MCP forms reach the desktop question UI in full-access sessions, including resumed threads. Permission requests remain automatic in full access.
- Codex commands retain their native meaning, and normal followups leave Plan mode correctly.
- Build and audit scripts find the checkout dynamically. Moving the repository regenerates stale Cargo build paths while keeping dependency libraries and collected installers.
- Chat rows avoid unrelated rerenders, hidden tabs catch up when opened, and large outputs retain their complete text and styling.
- Analytics and project-session scans yield during large reads; background process polling and provider cleanup avoid abandoned work.
- Folder mentions, keyboard navigation, modal focus and queued dialogs include the fixes developed since 0.48.0.
Available for macOS, Windows and Linux on x64 and ARM64. Linux downloads include both DEB and RPM installers.
Validated with the frontend and CLI suites, Rust tests, production-renderer UI checks, and live Codex tests covering native sessions, MCP transports and forms, delegation, images, fork/schema output, Plan, Review, compaction and interruption.
