aowlup v0.1.0-alpha.2
Pre-release
Pre-release
Second packaged build of the manager. Fixes two bugs that the driver's first
release exposed — both invisible while the only released component happened to
have an asset named exactly like its binary.
- A pre-release is now found.
installasked GitHub for/releases/latest,
which excludes pre-releases, so a project whose only published build is an
alpha answered 404 — reported asNot Found, which reads as "no such
repository" for a repository that is public and does have a release. - A component installs under its own name. The asset name carries the
platform (aowlmony-linux-amd64) so one release can serve several; it was
being written to disk under that name, while the resolver looks for
<prefix>/bin/<tool>— so an install succeeded and then nothing could find it. aowlmonyis a component. The driver is in the catalog as thedriver
slot, soaowlup install aowlmonyworks and a stranger ends up with something
to compile with.shimno longer overwrites the binary it resolves to. A shim is named
after the variant, and so is an installed binary, so for anything installed
into~/.aowl/binthey were the same file — writing it produced a script that
resolved to itself, i.e. an infinite self-exec that presents as a hang.- Registry healing. Links that still recorded the literal version
"0.1.0"
get a real one, and a link pointing at a repo that is gone is dropped, with
both said out loud rather than silently rewritten.
Requirements. Linux x86-64, glibc ≥ 2.34 — the floor is in the .glibc
asset, and install.sh refuses rather than installing a binary this machine
cannot start.
