Seris 0.1.2
Seris 0.1.2 adds Hyperliquid backtests and a smaller, extensible agent runtime while keeping memory and learning enabled.
Changes
-
Refresh the chat composer with a multiline input, permissions on the left, and model selection plus send/stop on the right. Model settings live in the model menu; Chinese IME confirmation does not send a message.
-
Show a plain-text preview for every nonempty conversation before opening it, including older chats.
-
Add conversation pinning, renaming and deletion through the chat menu. Deleted conversations remain in Recently deleted and can be restored with their messages and permissions.
-
Backtest strategies against real Hyperliquid perpetual candles, including HIP-3 instruments such as
xyz:NVDA. Binance spot remains available. -
Save and display the data venue, actual candle range, fee and slippage assumptions with each result. Only closed candles enter a backtest; unsupported intervals and unavailable Hyperliquid history fail explicitly instead of silently switching venues or shortening the requested window.
-
Expose asynchronous backtest job status and failure reasons to the agent, and fix trade counts, win/loss statistics and fees for short round trips.
-
Start chats with six essential tools and discover additional capabilities on demand. Activated tools persist per conversation and continue to respect action approvals and host allowlists.
-
Load extensions through a small module entry point with tool registration and lifecycle hooks. See
EXTENSIONS.mdfor authoring guidance. Memory retrieval, layered memory and experience harvesting remain enabled. -
Prevent macOS metadata files from entering the portable core archive or being loaded as extensions.
Validation
- Focused checks covered extension discovery and permissions, tool activation persistence, closed-candle filtering, venue provenance, Hyperliquid history failures and short-trade accounting. Existing test files were reused.
- The packaged 0.1.1-to-0.1.2 upgrade check preserved conversations, model metadata, watchlists, strategies, permissions and a real-candle backtest, including after removal of the old runtime.
- Computer Use with the configured DeepSeek model completed real Hyperliquid BTC and
xyz:NVDAhourly backtests for a 14-day window, each using 335 closed candles. The market chart, backtest charts and saved results were checked, including after a restart.
Installation and scope
- macOS arm64 (Apple Silicon). Quit Seris, open the DMG and replace the app in Applications. Local conversations, model settings, memory, strategies and backtests remain outside the application bundle.
- Ad-hoc signed, not Apple-notarized. After the first blocked launch, approve Seris in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. An upgrade may ask for keychain authorization for an existing model credential.
- Hyperliquid provides only its most recent 5,000 candles and does not provide 6h candles. Use a shorter history window or a larger supported interval when needed.
- Backtests simulate price changes with flat fees and slippage. Funding payments, leverage/margin and liquidation are not simulated. Live orders, wallet transfers and connected portfolios remain outside this release's scope.
- Installed extension modules are trusted executable code under your account. Discovery does not grant approval for gated actions.
Seris 0.1.1
Seris 0.1.1 improves long-running AI tasks and makes tool permissions configurable per conversation.
Changes
- Remove the runtime limit on model turns and tool calls that caused Run reached its step limit. Long tasks can continue until they finish or the user presses Stop.
- Add Ask every time and Allow all actions below the chat input. The permission choice applies to the current conversation and survives restarts; new conversations default to asking.
- Switching to Allow all actions releases an action already waiting for approval. Switching back restores confirmation for subsequent gated actions, including saving strategies and using terminal or browser tools.
- Keep permission changes behind the authenticated UI API; model-generated prompt parameters cannot enable Allow all actions.
- Preserve model tool declarations when refreshing the permission instructions sent to the model, and keep composer controls usable in the narrower Markets chat layout.
- Add an English repository guide covering architecture, coding, commits, releases and validation. Prefer Computer Use for functional checks and add automated tests only when necessary.
- Update the existing packaged-upgrade check to support stable-to-stable upgrades, correct real candle timestamps and verify persisted chat permissions.
Validation
- The implementation passed 88 existing and targeted regression checks, including 96 consecutive tool rounds, cancellation, permission persistence and rejection of unauthorized permission changes. No additional test files were added during release preparation.
- TypeScript checks and a compiled-client visual check passed during implementation.
- Computer Use verified the actual client from the candidate DMG: existing conversations and the saved model connection loaded, and DeepSeek V4.1 Flash retrieved real Hyperliquid BTC hourly candles, produced a summary and opened the corresponding chart. The permission menu was also checked in the narrower Markets chat.
- Complete bundle signatures and packaged runtime resources passed verification. The runtime started without the checkout or a system Node installation.
- The published 0.1.0 bundle upgraded to the candidate 0.1.1 bundle using disposable data and their own Node runtimes. Conversations, model metadata, watchlists, strategy source and a backtest using 199 closed Binance candles survived the upgrade and removal of the old runtime. Legacy chats defaulted to asking; Allow all actions persisted across the candidate's restart.
Installation and scope
- macOS arm64 (Apple Silicon). Quit Seris, open the DMG and replace the app in Applications. Local conversations, model metadata, watchlists, strategies and backtests remain outside the app bundle.
- Ad-hoc signed, not Apple-notarized. After the first blocked launch, approve Seris in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. An upgrade may require keychain authorization for an existing model credential; if the credential store is unavailable, unlock it and restart Seris or re-save the model connection in Settings.
- Allow all actions permits available gated tools in that conversation to run without individual confirmation. It does not enable unsupported trading or wallet functions. You can return to Ask every time or stop an active task at any time.
- Strategies remain local historical backtests. Live orders, wallet transfers and connected portfolios are outside this release's scope; alerts run only while the app is running.
Seris 0.1.0
Seris 0.1.0 is the first stable release for macOS Apple Silicon, focused on AI conversation, real market data and local strategy backtests.
Supported features
- Persistent AI conversations with streaming replies, tool approvals and cloud or compatible model configuration. API keys remain in the macOS credential store.
- Real market search, watchlists, candlestick charts and chart-attached conversations. Supported sources include Binance spot and USDT traditional-finance perpetuals, Hyperliquid and Hyperliquid xyz, with Longbridge market data available after account authorization.
- AI can resolve a market, retrieve candles and open the corresponding chart. Instrument hints show only the icon and name; full context remains attached to messages.
- Reviewed TypeScript strategy drafts, Binance spot backtests and persistent metrics, fills and charts. User strategies and results survive application upgrades.
- Chinese and English interfaces and conditional price alerts while the app is running.
Changes from Beta.6
- Remove unfinished Automation and Portfolio navigation entries.
- Exclude simulated account, brokerage and wallet tools, placeholder funding and desktop-control tools, and their bundled skill advertisements from the release catalog. Funding guidance uses real venue tools.
- Make the assistant's supported capabilities explicit and align installation, support and security documentation with the stable release.
- Publish numeric version tags as stable GitHub Releases; prerelease versions retain their prerelease status.
Validation
- 81 automated regressions, TypeScript checks and production dependency audit passed, including rejection of unavailable legacy tools and absence of unfinished navigation in both languages.
- The complete application signature, bundled runtime, native cold start, saved configuration, crash recovery, credential IPC and exit cleanup were verified.
- Upgrade checks used the published Beta.6 bundle and the 0.1.0 bundle with their own Node runtimes and disposable data. Conversations, model metadata, watchlists, strategy source and a real Binance candle backtest remained intact after upgrade and after removal of the old runtime.
Installation and scope
- macOS arm64 (Apple Silicon). Quit the old app, open the DMG and drag Seris to Applications, replacing the previous app. Local user data remains separate from the app bundle.
- Ad-hoc signed, not Apple-notarized. After the first blocked launch, approve Seris in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. See Apple's instructions. An upgrade may ask for keychain authorization for an existing model credential.
- Traditional-finance perpetual quotes are contract prices, with the venue identified in the workspace. Some venues require ticker codes rather than company names; use V for the Binance Visa perpetual.
- Strategies are local backtests. This release does not execute live orders, transfer wallet funds or provide a connected portfolio. Alerts run only while Seris is running; data availability depends on the provider, region and account permissions.
Seris 0.1.0-beta.6
Seris 0.1.0-beta.6 expands the market workspace with traditional-finance perpetuals and makes AI chart actions more reliable.
Changes
- Add Binance USDT traditional-finance perpetuals and Hyperliquid xyz markets for supported stocks, ETFs, commodities, FX, indices and Asian equities. These are contract quotes, with their venue identified in the workspace.
- Add the instrument summary bar and searchable dropdown, with synchronized watch controls. An empty watchlist can still search and open a chart.
- Share exact instrument metadata between search, watchlists and AI tools. Preserve the colon in xyz codes, support single-letter symbols such as Visa's VUSDT, and correct stock, ETF, commodity and FX classifications.
- Display funding as percentages per hour, using the actual Binance settlement interval. Use xyz mark prices and actual market context for change, volume and open interest. Exclude delisted xyz markets and report unavailable data explicitly.
- Apply the current AI run's chart action when a session snapshot arrives before its streaming event. Restoring conversation history does not replay old chart actions.
- Simplify the instrument hint above the message input to its icon and name. Venue and interval remain available on hover, and the full chart context is still attached when sending.
Validation
- 81 automated regressions, TypeScript checks and production dependency audit passed on macOS.
- Public-provider checks covered NVDA on Binance and xyz, Visa V on Binance, and GOLD, EUR and AVGO on xyz, including hourly candles, quotes, watchlist persistence and delisted-market rejection.
- Computer Use on the compiled client verified real market charts, consistent hourly funding, the empty-watchlist search flow and the simplified BTC/NVDA instrument hints.
- Real DeepSeek requests completed search, retrieval of 500 hourly candles and automatic chart opening/switching for NVDA on Hyperliquid xyz and Visa V on Binance.
- The packaged runtime and native supervisor passed resource loading, strategy compilation, document generation, startup, saved configuration, crash recovery, keychain IPC and child-process cleanup. The complete macOS app signature was verified.
Installation and limits
- macOS arm64 (Apple Silicon) only. Drag Seris from the DMG to Applications.
- Ad-hoc signed, not Apple-notarized. On the first blocked launch, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway and approve Seris. See Apple's instructions.
- An upgrade may request keychain authorization for an existing model credential. Complete the system prompt before testing the model connection.
- Some market venues match ticker codes rather than company names; use V to find the Binance Visa perpetual.
- Strategies remain local backtests, with no live order execution. Automation and Portfolio are prototypes. Alerts run only while Seris is running, and market-data availability depends on the provider and region.
Seris 0.1.0-beta.5
Seris 0.1.0-beta.5 fixes market search layout, Chinese input confirmation, model-picker alignment and macOS packaging.
Changes
-
Keep each market search result aligned with its watch button. Remove the percentage height that stretched every result to the entire column height, truncate long names with the full name available on hover, and preserve keyboard scrolling/selection. Input-method candidate confirmation also leaves market search open.
-
Prevent Chinese/Japanese/Korean input-method candidate confirmation from submitting a message, including WebKit's composition-end-before-Enter ordering. A subsequent Enter still sends normally in both Chat and Markets Chat.
-
Center the model-picker chevron with the model label and retain the icon when long names are truncated.
-
Sign the complete macOS application bundle, including its resource seal, with an ad-hoc signature. Beta.2 only had a linker signature and could be reported as damaged after a browser download.
-
Strip local symbols from the bundled Node runtime and native SDK, re-sign the optimized binaries, remove dependency source maps/type declarations, and archive duplicate dependency payloads as hardlinks. Runtime functionality and dependency licenses are retained.
-
Verify the complete application signature, extracted production dependencies and native startup before publishing. Resolve the DMG by the current version so a cached older installer cannot be uploaded accidentally.
-
Existing persistent strategies, model metadata, conversations and backtest results retain their locations.
Validation
-
Built-UI browser regressions cover candidate confirmation, a single subsequent send, label/chevron alignment, and nine search results with watch controls, long names, keyboard scrolling and selection at desktop and minimum window sizes.
-
72 automated regressions, TypeScript checks and production dependency audit passed on macOS. Four Rust tests passed; two tests requiring real keychain writes remain opt-in.
-
The extracted distribution passed native Longbridge loading, TypeScript strategy compilation, browser-library loading, PDF/Word/Excel/PowerPoint generation, strategy discovery, session creation and clean shutdown with an empty PATH.
-
Native cold-cache startup, saved model configuration, keychain bridge after crash recovery and child-process cleanup passed.
-
A browser-downloaded DMG copied through Finder passed full signature verification with its download quarantine intact. macOS displayed the expected unverified-app warning and provided the Open Anyway button, rather than the damaged-app warning.
Installation and limits
- macOS arm64 (Apple Silicon) only. Drag Seris from the DMG to Applications.
- Ad-hoc signed, not Apple-notarized. On the first launch, macOS may report that Apple cannot verify Seris. Click Done, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway and approve this app. See Apple's instructions.
- An upgrade can ask for keychain authorization to read an existing model credential. Complete the system prompt before testing the model connection.
- Strategies remain local backtests, with no live order execution. Automation and Portfolio are prototypes. Alerts run only while Seris is running, and market-data access depends on the provider and region.
This release includes the strategy persistence, backtest workspace, chat draft fixes and settings improvements from Beta.2.
Seris 0.1.0-beta.2
Seris 0.1.0-beta.2 connects AI strategy creation, user approval, real-market backtesting and result inspection.
Changes
- Preserve the next message draft when a previous send receipt arrives late, and keep a newly created conversation busy until its first send has been restored.
- Review AI-authored TypeScript strategies before saving. Backtest with closed Binance spot candles and inspect parameters, fills, equity, drawdown and trailing stops.
- Save user strategies in persistent application data. On first launch, recover strategies from older runtime caches without overwriting existing user copies. Legacy indicator imports continue to work after migration.
- Keep backtest results on the selected strategy page, with separate overview, code and documentation tabs.
- Use connection/model-parameter tabs in Settings and compact inline tool-result rows in Chat, with expandable, scrollable and copyable output.
- Correct next-open fills, entry-bar stops, interval-dependent metrics and exclusion of the current unfinished candle.
Validation
- 67 automated regression tests, including a deliberately delayed send receipt, TypeScript checks, packaged-runtime validation and native startup/crash-recovery checks.
- Upgrade regression: migrate drafts, remove old runtime caches, reopen and backtest both legacy and newly saved strategies.
- A compiled-client end-to-end run used a configured DeepSeek model and 2,159 real BTCUSDT hourly candles from Binance, including strategy approval, saving, backtesting and result inspection.
Supported platform and limits
- macOS arm64 (Apple Silicon) only. Windows, Linux and Intel Mac installers are not provided in this release.
- Unsigned and not notarized. macOS may block the first launch; use the system's Open Anyway option for this downloaded app. When upgrading an unsigned build, macOS may also ask permission to access saved model keys. Complete the system Keychain prompt and restart Seris if Settings reports that the credential store is unavailable.
- Strategies are local backtests and are not connected to live order execution. Automation and Portfolio pages remain prototypes; tools marked as simulated do not execute real transactions.
- Monitoring and alerts run only while Seris is running. Market-data access depends on the provider and region.
User strategies are stored under skills/strategies/ in the system application-data directory. Existing conversations, model settings and backtest results remain local.
