Remove hardcoded
start_timewith relative calculation to prevent testfailures in CI. The old pattern used
start_time=16000which could result in negative durations when we calculate durations time.monotonic() < 16000,
causing the timeout logic to fail.
I repkace that with populating start_time relative to current monotonic time,
to guarantee the processor always runs for exactly
(timeout + 1) seconds, to ensure consistent timeout behaviour across
all environments.
