I don't think anyone is currently working on it, so I'd say there's no current plans. @dbelozerovx1 if you are interested I'd start by creating an issue to follow the work started on the original implementation to add Python bindings as I couldn't find one:

A discussion around the implementation can be followed on the issue itself and this might give visibility for someone interested to contribute it.
