As part of the ongoing conversations around LLM-generated code, we should ensure that Claude is following the guidelines the community has set. Claude doesn't follow AGENTS.md, but instead looks for a CLAUDE.md file, so I made a symlink.

This won't solve all of our issues, but it's hopefully some low-hanging fruit.

AI-disclosure: I didn't need AI to make a symlink, but I did need a Google search to remember the order of the arguments 😄

Thank you @rambleraptor, this makes sense to me, but @RussellSpitzer shoul probably take a look as author of #15529

I've said before I don't really like the idea of putting vendor specific brand names in the code base. We can talk this over as a community but I really don't think it's too much work to add your own symlink if you happen to be using claude.

For most people, I do agree that making your symlink is easy enough.

My thought is that there's an overlap between the people sending out mass LLM-generated PRs and those who wouldn't take the time to create the symlink.

By creating it for them, the hope is that the agents would stop them from sending out some of those PRs (especially the duplicative ones)
