Summary

Upgrade the Paimon Trino connector to:

  • Trino 483
  • Paimon 1.4.2

Changes

  • Adapt to Trino 483 SPI changes.
  • Apply current dynamic-filter predicates during split generation.
  • Update MERGE handling for the Trino 483 page layout.
  • Use exclusive creation for atomic writes on supported object stores.
  • Fall back to Paimon's temporary-file-and-rename implementation when exclusive creation is unsupported.
  • Update dependencies and tests for JDK 25 compatibility.

Validation

  • Full Maven test suite passed.
  • Clean plugin package build passed.
  • Validated CREATE, INSERT, MERGE, table_changes, read and drop operations against Trino 483.
