Demicode goes Unicode 17.0, with a new emoji in the Unicode version oracle, updated scripts and other metadata, and more tests for grapheme cluster breaking. If you run demicode with the beta release of Unicode 17.0 now, --ucd-version 17.0 is the incantation, then please don't forget to re-download all UCD files after the actual release of Unicode 17.0. While not very common, newly added characters may be withdrawn at the last minute and so on.
Demicode 1.7 just goes so much better with Unicode 17.0. So there is no demicode 1.6.
