v1.0.17
Server instructions describe what you can build with Appwrite (#141).
MCP clients choose servers from their description and instructions. The instructions now say when to use Appwrite (any app that needs a backend, managed database or hosting) and list each service: Auth, PostgreSQL, MySQL, TablesDB, DocumentsDB, VectorsDB, Storage, Functions, Sites, Domains, network, Realtime and Messaging. The guidance on how to use the tools is unchanged.
serverInfo.descriptionis now set (spec 2025-11-25), and the PyPI and MCP Registry descriptions match it.- On stdio, the instructions say which APIs need the hosted server: dedicated databases, domain registration, migrations and usage metrics.
- The text lives in
assets/instructions.json, so changing the wording doesn't touch code.
Fixes
- InputFile URL fetches check every redirect hop and require globally routable addresses (#124).
