Eddy 0.6.1 beta

Superseded by 0.6.2 beta. The swipe-to-close fix below did not work on real phones. Please update.

A quick follow-up to 0.6.0 based on your feedback: closing tabs by swiping works properly again, and a new gesture opens the tab list.

New

• Swipe up on the toolbar to see your tabs. A short swipe on the address bar, away from the edge of the screen, opens the tab list. That is up when the toolbar is at the bottom, down when it is at the top. Swiping sideways still switches tabs.

Fixes

• Swiping a tab away no longer leaves it stuck halfway. On some phones, especially ones with fast touch screens like the Galaxy Z Flip 7's inner display, a tab card could stop where you let go and stay open. It now always slides away and closes, or snaps back if you didn't swipe far enough.
• Closing tabs by swiping takes less effort. Dragging a card a quarter of its width, or a gentle flick, is now enough.
• Settings > Advanced no longer repeats the search engine and filter list shortcuts. Add a custom search engine from Settings > General > Default search engine, and filter lists from Settings > Privacy and security > Filter lists.

eddy-0.6.1-beta.apk is the normal build. eddy-0.6.1-beta-fdroid.apk is the same app without the developer-tools panel; F-Droid rebuilds it from source and checks it matches. Both are signed with the same key as previous releases, so you can switch between them.
