Official documentation lacks info from elsewhere, such as Windows Dual Boot #4631

Description

@C0rn3j

One of the more common use cases of archinstall is (imo) how do I use this to dual boot with Windows.

Currently, if you open the Arch Wiki page for archinstall, this question is unanswered.

If you happen to click through to the official documentation link, this question remains unanswered.

What you are apparently (to me) supposed to use is the GitHub/GitLab README.md.

So, what should be done in my opinion:

  • Get the current contents of the README.md into the official documentation
  • Edit the README.md to link to the documentation from the relevant sections, removing their current contents - this is as to not dupe information in a way where it would have to be kept up to date in two places at once (which would inevitably fail to happen)
  • Edit the Arch Wiki to add major points, such as Windows dual boot, even if it's just a link to the documentation
