This release introduces seamless background GitHub synchronization and a powerful calendar editor to modify past entries on the fly.
What's new
- Added automatic background push/pull synchronization to a private GitHub repository
- Added a Sync Console window to monitor background activities, errors, and app events
- Added tray menu options to show/hide the sync console
- Added the ability to click any date in the calendar to view, edit, or delete its log entries
- Added automatic cloud sync triggering whenever calendar logs are edited
- Added safe offline fallback mode when github_token.txt is missing
- Added universal app logging to track startups, tray actions, and auto-start changes
- Added github_token.txt to .gitignore to prevent accidental credential leaks
Notes
- GitHub synchronization requires a github_token.txt file placed next to the executable.
- The token file should contain a Personal Access Token on the first line, and username/repo on the second line.
- For security, the GitHub token only needs "Read and write" permissions for "Contents" on that single specific repository.
- If the token file is absent or you are offline, the app operates 100% locally with zero errors or interruptions.
