AstroArchive 2.1.8.1
Windows signing: This package is unsigned. Application Control or SmartScreen may still block it. Trusted publisher signing requires account setup.
AstroArchive 2.1.8
Package 2.1.8.1
- Fixed interface verification overwriting the installed application's settings,
which could clear the saved repository selection and make an intact archive
appear empty. Test settings, backups and working indexes now use isolated state
in the test output folder; they cannot replace the installed user's settings. - Added a regression check that verifies isolated settings writes, backups and
repository indexes before running the interface checks. - Removed duplicate calls to the UX verification suite.
- Existing repository databases, image files and metadata are retained. If a
previous interface check cleared your repository selection, choose the existing
archive in Settings > General > Choose repository; no reimport is required.
AstroArchive 2.1.7.1
Windows signing: This package is unsigned. Application Control or SmartScreen may still block it. Trusted publisher signing requires account setup.
AstroArchive 2.1.7
Package 2.1.7.1
- Removed repetitive hover text from clearly labelled controls, table headings
and image surfaces. Icon actions and unusual settings retain concise help;
clipped metadata reveals its full value, and screen reader help stays available. - Scan help follows the active matching mode. Selection-sensitive actions explain
their scope, search help shows the current error, and metadata edits report
changed fields and the number of files affected across selected sessions. - Updates now live directly in Preferences > Updates. Check for releases, read
notes and install with visible progress without opening another dialog.
Settings are validated and saved before installation; failures remain visible
with retry available, and the application restarts after a verified update. - First-run guidance uses four focused steps; the full walkthrough and offline
guide remain available. Unavailable export destinations explain requirements
in an expandable section that can be reached from the keyboard. - Main-page text and layouts are unchanged. Includes all previous release fixes.
AstroArchive 2.1.6.1
Windows signing: This package is unsigned. Application Control or SmartScreen may still block it. Trusted publisher signing requires account setup.
AstroArchive 2.1.6
Package 2.1.6.1
- Fixed stacking exports losing valid calibration frames when selected subframe
groups span sensor temperatures or observing nights. Each subset gets its
matching dark/flat/bias set; folders separate automatically when sets differ.
Compatible subs using the same set remain together. - Calibration availability, exported folders, match review and DSS file lists
now use the same grouping plan. Dark flats stay with their matching raw flats. - Unknown processing-state confirmation is visible beside the main calibration
options. The dialogue explains when calibration files are omitted until those
subs are confirmed uncalibrated. Already calibrated inputs receive no extra
calibration. - Includes the larger Edited preview, formatted Help and walkthrough, and all
previously published fixes.
AstroArchive 2.1.5.1
Windows signing: This package is unsigned. Application Control or SmartScreen may still block it. Trusted publisher signing requires account setup.
AstroArchive 2.1.5
Package 2.1.5.1
- Edited gives images a larger preview with a compact filename/open-image row.
Its panel adapts to the width needed for a full-height 3:4 portrait and remembers
manual divider adjustments during the session. Zoom, pan and Fit remain below
the image. - Removed the sky map, stretch selector and capture-details icon from Edited to
maximise image space. File details remain available in the context menu. - Help now uses consistent headings, bullet and numbered lists, highlighted
actions and keyboard shortcuts. Search, selectable text and guide export remain
available in both themes and at larger text sizes. - The interactive walkthrough has shorter, structured instructions, a roomier
dialogue and clearer Next/Finish buttons. - Includes all changes from earlier releases, including the backup controls and
responsive background scanning of Edited folders.
AstroArchive 2.1.4.1
Windows signing: This package is unsigned. Application Control or SmartScreen may still block it. Trusted publisher signing requires account setup.
AstroArchive 2.1.4
Package 2.1.4.1
- Restoring or focusing the application no longer scans Edited folders on the
interface thread. Automatic scans run in the background when Edited is visible,
keeping navigation responsive and combining repeated restore/focus events. - Unchanged Edited scans preserve selection, sorting and the current preview.
Cancelled or stale scans cannot replace newer results or a different repository. - The sky map returns to a single capture indicator for individual files, groups
and stacks, using the recorded capture time. Observing paths are removed.
Below-horizon blanking and sky-view navigation remain available. - Includes the visible backup controls: Repository > Back up archive… and
Settings > Backups, with folder/ZIP backups and restoration instructions.
AstroArchive 2.1.3.1
Windows signing: This package is unsigned. Application Control or SmartScreen may still block it. Trusted publisher signing requires account setup.
AstroArchive 2.1.3
Package 2.1.3.1
- Repository > Back up archive… opens the backup dialog directly.
- Settings > Backups provides a visible Preferences section for creating backups,
restoration instructions and optional originals protection. These controls are
no longer hidden in the collapsed General > Archive safety panel. - Backup destinations and lossless ZIP choices remain available in the backup
dialog. Existing backup settings, verified copies and image data are retained. - Windows checks exercise both actual menu paths in light/dark themes and at
100/150% text, including cancellation and unavailable/busy states.
AstroArchive 2.1.2.1
Windows signing: This package is unsigned. Application Control or SmartScreen may still block it. Trusted publisher signing requires account setup.
AstroArchive 2.1.2
Package 2.1.2.1
- Settings now opens one Preferences window with General, Import, Export,
Sky & solving, Accessibility and Updates sections. Application defaults and
locations, archive protection and backup remain available in Preferences. - Simplified Import, Export, Repository and Guide menus remove duplicate routes.
Secondary Edited actions are on the file context menu; Export to… remains
available with the current processing destinations. - The target panels keep their themed backgrounds and entries while search is
pending, fixing the white, empty panel during typing. - Export files and Stacking folder offer Open with… after export for Siril when
one eligible FITS stack is selected. Siril opens the verified exported copy,
including collision-renamed files, in that copy's actual folder. Failed or
canceled exports never launch an application. - Preferences stores a default export folder. Optional metadata and advanced
stacking controls are collapsed; the new-folder name appears only when needed. - Missing or Unknown common names use a dash in Repository and Edited tables.
AstroArchive 2.1.1.1
Windows signing: This package is unsigned. Application Control or SmartScreen may still block it. Trusted publisher signing requires account setup.
AstroArchive 2.1.1
Package 2.1.1.1
-
Preferences > Archive safety can protect archived originals from accidental
deletion or renaming in File Explorer on local NTFS drives. AstroArchive
restores protection after confirmed file operations and interrupted unlocks.
Edited files, Dump and archive metadata remain writable. Protection is optional. -
Back up… creates a recoverable folder or lossless ZIP, including original
images, Edited files and the current archive database. Every file is verified
with SHA-256 before completion. Backups include restoration instructions and
a checksum manifest. Creation warns about time and supports safe cancellation. -
Export to… offers PixInsight, Siril, DeepSkyStacker, GIMP, Photoshop,
AutoStakkert! 4, AstroWizard and Stacking Wizard in one compatible chooser.
Repository image handoffs use verified Edited working copies. Subframes and
recordings use verified export folders. DSS loads typed file lists, with
separate lists and a group chooser for incompatible captures. Some stackers
need the user to load the exported inputs in their own window. -
Export destinations settings store defaults per file type and an optional
subframe-folder default. Application locations can be detected automatically
or configured. Export asks for an unavailable app before creating copies.
Existing Siril and StackingWizard preferences are retained. -
Export menus now offer Export to…, Save files…, Stacking folder… and More.
Metadata/folder extras and advanced stacking options expand when needed.
Edited uses the same Export to… chooser. Completion keeps its folder action. -
Original formats and precision are retained; conversions remain explicit.
Launch failures retain verified files and offer their location and settings.
AstroArchive 1.13.15.1
Windows signing: This package is unsigned. Application Control or SmartScreen may still block it. Trusted publisher signing requires account setup.
AstroArchive 1.13.15
Package 1.13.15.1
- C23, NGC891, UGC1831, PGC9031, Silver Sliver Galaxy and Outer Limits Galaxy
resolve to one target, with the common name displayed across the programme. - Expanded established common-name coverage, including Skull, Blue Snowball,
Silver Needle, Little Sombrero, Splinter and Hubble's Variable Nebula. - Common names, catalogue prefixes, accents and punctuation share one matching
method. Explicitly conflicting IDs, including unknown IDs, are not ignored.
Catalogue numbers are never corrected using fuzzy name matching. - Right-click a target on Repository or Edited to edit its common name and aliases.
Saved names take effect immediately in existing entries, imports, searches,
target choices and Edited fuzzy matching. Conflicting aliases are rejected;
catalogue identities and image files stay unchanged. - Whole-region names such as Eagle, Flame, Rosette and Eastern Veil have declared
owners. Shared component names include their IDs. Ambiguous names such as
Antennae Galaxies and Lobster Nebula require an ID rather than an automatic guess. - Both Targets panels are wider. Long names and alternate catalogue IDs wrap
fully instead of being truncated, including at larger text sizes. - Catalogue audits test every supplementary name and alias, all display names,
numeric-ID ownership, existing archives and real telescope import grouping.
AstroArchive 1.13.14.1
Windows signing: This package is unsigned. Application Control or SmartScreen may still block it. Trusted publisher signing requires account setup.
AstroArchive 1.13.14
Package 1.13.14.1
- Identifying a selected Light subgroup solves one representative and updates all
selected members. Crop, image-index and optional header differences no longer
split a displayed subgroup into separate jobs. Failed representatives retry up
to two other subs; a successful sample stops immediately. Stacks stay separate. - Solved-target review visibly selects the nearest major target. Each dropdown
shows both its catalogue ID and common name, including a target chosen via Search. - Selected Light groups show their target's sky track across the recorded capture
interval, including gaps and the final exposure. Stack previews retain exposure
comments, labelled integration and saved Edited totals to recover known duration.
Stack intervals estimated from integration are labelled; unknown gaps are not guessed. - Below-horizon targets leave the sky area blank. The map is centred and fills the
space left after fitting the image, with slight padding. Its reset control is
borderless, uses a counterclockwise icon and sits close to the map edge. - NGC2244 and Rosette Nebula labels resolve to NGC2237, grouped under Nebulae.
Existing archive entries, imports, filenames and catalogue searches share this identity. - Repository shows Gain beside Exposure by default, with a dash for unknown gain.
Existing column layouts gain the heading once; later visibility choices are retained.
