MyWallet 1.3.0
MyWallet 1.3
1.3.0 (2026-10-17)
Income fees, expenses paid partly or entirely later, multiple transaction filters and an Arabic interface. Deductions support subcategories, and startup and loading screens carry the app's branding.
Income fees and deductions
- Add a fixed or percentage fee to income. The preview shows what the account receives after the fee and deductions. An income of 1,000 with a fee of 20 adds 980 to the account.
- Fees and deductions together cannot exceed the income amount.
- Choose a deduction's category and then its subcategory. These links remain when the entry is reopened or restored from a backup.
- Income rows keep the title readable, with deduction details on a separate line.
Expenses paid later
- Switch on Paid later to enter what you paid now, who you owe and an optional due date. The remainder appears in Debts, linked to the expense.
- An expense of 1,000 with 300 paid now and a fee of 3 takes 303 from the account and records 700 owed. Paying nothing now leaves the account unchanged and records the full 1,000 owed.
- Change the paid-now amount when editing the expense; its linked amount owed updates with it.
- Fees apply to the amount paid now. A fee cannot be added when nothing is paid now.
Transaction filters
- Select several types, accounts and categories using the type chips and filter checklists.
- Selections within a group match any selected choice; the groups apply together. For example, select two accounts and Expense to see expenses involving either account.
- Category filters show matching parts of an entry, including deductions from income.
- Clear a group with All, or reset every filter with Clear all. If a new entry is saved outside the current filter, use Show to reveal it.
Arabic and text direction
- The interface is available in Arabic and follows right-to-left layout.
- Amount input accepts Arabic and Persian digits. Displayed money uses Latin digits.
- Your saved names and notes keep the text you entered, and exports keep their existing format.
Startup, loading and About
- Startup shows one splash with the MyWallet logo in the center and copyright at the bottom, following the app theme where supported by Android.
- Full-screen loading states use the animated Aristonis brand loader, with English and Arabic text. Fast loads skip the loader, and system animation settings are respected.
- About includes attribution and a link to star MyWallet on GitHub.
Upgrading
- The database schema is unchanged from 1.2.0.
- Export a backup from Settings before you update, as with any update.
- Backups from 1.2 restore in 1.3. New backups use format 3 to preserve the expanded entries; MyWallet 1.2 cannot restore these backups. Older supported backups remain readable.
MyWallet 1.2.0
Debts, loans and credit cards; deductions taken from income; fees and refunds; a new look with charts, account pages and entry pages. The database changes, and the upgrade keeps every record.
Debts and loans
- Record money you lend and each part paid back. The Debts screen shows who still owes you and how much. Lending and getting paid back are not income or expense in Tracking.
- Record a loan you take and each repayment. Interest you pay is split out and is the only part that counts as an expense.
- Close what is left of a debt when it is forgiven or lost. Writing it off records the rest as "Debt forgiven" income or "Lost debt" expense.
- The More choice on the transaction form adds five debt kinds: a debt you already had, something bought on credit, work done and paid later, and the two sides of a loan. A phone bought on credit for 1,000 shows a 1,000 expense on its day and 1,000 owed to the shop, with no account changed.
- Each debt has its own page with its history. Repayments can be edited, and write-off and deletion ask you to confirm first, with undo.
What is really yours
- Home shows what is in your pocket next to your balance, with what others owe you and what you owe. With a 1,000 balance and 300 lent to Sara, your pocket is 700.
Deductions from income
- Create your own deductions (tax, a family share, a bill) with a default percent or fixed amount, and switch each one on or off.
- An income fills in the deductions that apply to its category. You can change or add them on the entry, and the form shows the result before you save, for example "Bank receives 980, you owe 150".
- Paying a deduction later, from any account, settles what you owe and does not count as spending a second time.
Credit cards, fees and refunds
- New account type: credit card. Set its limit and see what you owe and what is still available. Spending counts when you buy; paying the card from the bank is a transfer.
- Transfers can carry a fee, and each account can have a default fee. Cashing out 300 from an e-wallet that takes 2% puts 294 in Cash and 6 in Fees. A fee you typed stays when you change the source account.
- A refund from a shop lowers what you spent in that category instead of showing up as income.
- Interest, Tax, Fees, Lost debt and Debt forgiven are ordinary categories you can rename or remove.
Entries keep the value of their day
- An entry in another currency keeps the rate it had on its day, and the list shows that value. Last month's totals no longer move when today's rate changes.
Charts and Tracking
- Tracking has a spending breakdown chart with each category's share, and a net worth line over the period you pick. The net worth line uses today's rates and says so.
- Tracking totals sit together in one card, with links to the spending and net worth views.
- Export the period on screen as a CSV file. You pick where to save it, and the file matches the report you selected. If the save is interrupted, the app tells you.
Account and entry pages
- Tap an account on Home or in Manage accounts to open its page: the balance, a card's owed and available amounts, and that account's own entries. You can start a new entry from there.
- Tap an entry in the list to see what was saved, including fees and deductions, before you choose to edit or delete it.
A new look
- New colour palette, cards, rows and navigation bar across the app. The transaction form leads with the amount, and Home's balance card labels each figure.
- Screens slide in from the side you read from. The motion is off when system animations are off.
- Settings rows show a second line and an icon, and new pages cover About, Privacy, and Support and FAQ. Support links can be tapped.
- The app is now licensed under Apache 2.0, and Settings shows the license.
Fixes and accessibility
- Screens stay readable at 200% text size: tab labels, list rows, type choices, totals and rate controls no longer clip, and the last row of each list stays clear of the add button.
- Section titles are announced as headings by TalkBack.
- The status and navigation bars follow the app theme.
- A transfer with only one account explains what is needed instead of failing.
- Percent fees above 100 are refused.
- A backup is checked before it is written, and a wallet with damaged data blocks account actions that could make it worse.
- Settings buttons are disabled while an action is running, and the theme picker opens fully.
Upgrading
- The database updates itself on first launch, and every account, amount, date, note and category link reads the same as before. Income and expense entries take the rates saved on the upgrade day.
- Export a backup from Settings before you update, as with any update.
- Backups from 1.1 restore in 1.2. A backup made in 1.2 cannot be restored in 1.1; that version asks you to update MyWallet.

MyWallet 1.1.1
A fix release: smoother screens with a long history, a message for entries saved outside the dates
on screen, and safer restores. No new features.
Smoother with a long history
- Saving an entry and opening the Transactions list no longer freeze the screen when you have
thousands of entries. Transactions, Tracking and Home now do their work in the background. - Home shows a loading state on a slow start instead of briefly saying your wallet needs an
account.
Entries saved outside the dates on screen
- When the Transactions list is narrowed to some dates and you save an entry for another day, a
message says so, for example "Saved for Oct 8, outside these dates". Tap Show to move the list to
that date. This fixes the known issue in 1.1.0.
Problems with stored data
- If some data cannot be read, Home and the Transactions list say so instead of closing the app.
Your data is not changed, and you can still export a backup from Settings. - A backup that holds entries this version cannot read, for example one edited by hand, is refused
before anything is replaced, so your current data stays as it was.
Other changes
- The blank strip above the bottom navigation bar is gone, with both gesture and button
navigation.
Upgrading
- No database change. 1.1.1 installs over 1.1.0 and keeps every record. Export a backup from
Settings before you update, as with any update. - Backups move freely between 1.1.0 and 1.1.1.

MyWallet 1.1.0
Tracking can now look at any period you choose, the transaction list can be filtered the same way,
and exchange rates can be fixed right where you enter an amount.
Look at any period
- Tracking opens on the current month as before. The arrows step to the previous or next day,
week, month or year, and tapping the dates opens a picker to jump to any day, month or year. - The calendar button in the top bar picks a custom date range, from one day to as long as you
like. Clear it to go back. - Tracking stays on "now": if it shows the current month when the date changes, it moves on to the
new month. A period you stepped back to stays where you left it.
Income and sub-categories in Tracking
- Income is broken down by category, next to spending.
- A category with sub-categories opens to show each one, plus a "No sub-category" line for entries
without one. The lines always add up to the category total.
Filter the transaction list
- The Transactions list has the same date bar as Tracking. It still opens on everything; narrow it
to a period or a custom range when you need to. - When a range has no entries, the list says so instead of looking empty.
Exchange rates on the transaction form
- When an entry involves a currency other than your base currency, the form shows its rate, for
example "1 USD = 13000 SYP", and lets you change it there instead of going to Settings. - Under the amount you see what it is worth in your base currency, for example "2 $" becomes
"≈ 26,000 SYP". - A transfer between two currencies shows the rate between them and exactly how much arrives.
- New Settings switch, "Save rates I enter on transactions", on by default. When it is on, a rate
you type becomes the saved rate. When it is off, a typed rate applies to that transfer only. - A rate you type is only saved once the entry is accepted, so a refused entry never changes your
rates.
Other changes
- New launcher icon: a closed ledger with a mint ribbon.
- Reports and the transaction list read only the dates on screen, so long histories load faster.
Upgrading
- Upgrading from 1.0 keeps every record. The database updates itself on first launch.
- Export a backup from Settings before you update, as with any update.
- A backup made in 1.1 restores in 1.0 as long as the rate switch was never turned off.
Known issue
- If you save an entry dated outside the period the Transactions list is narrowed to, it only
appears once the list covers that date.
