DataSabi v0.1.5

Choose a tag to compare

@zieeco zieeco released this 15 Oct 12:13
18bf0fc

What's new in v0.1.5

  • Apps show their real names: "Visual Studio Code" and "Claude Code" instead of "… URL Handler", "GitHub CLI" for gh, and "Node.js" for node. Apps already in your history pick up the new name the next time they use the network.
  • Networks: only the network you're connected to shows as active.
  • Alerts no longer show the "Block — coming soon" button.

Includes collector 0.1.5 — reinstall it for the app name fixes.

Install

First time? Install both packages — the service first, then the app:

  1. datasabi-collector_*_amd64.deb (or .rpm) — the background service
  2. DataSabi_*_amd64.deb (or .rpm / .AppImage) — the desktop app

Then log out and back in so your user can reach the service.

Updating? The app updates itself. Reinstall the collector to get the name fixes in this release:

sudo apt install ./datasabi-collector_0.1.5-1_amd64.deb

DataSabi v0.1.4

Choose a tag to compare

@zieeco zieeco released this 15 Oct 11:45
18bf0fc

What's new in v0.1.4

  • Close to tray — closing the window hides DataSabi instead of quitting it; alerts keep firing
  • Tray menu — right-click for Show DataSabi and Quit DataSabi. On GNOME without the AppIndicator extension there's no tray icon — open DataSabi from the app launcher to bring the window back.
  • Start-at-login switch — toggle in Settings; enabled automatically on first run, starts hidden so login doesn't pop a window
  • Single instance — opening DataSabi while it's already running focuses the existing window instead of starting a duplicate
  • Button style fix (carried from 0.1.3)

Includes collector 0.1.3 — reinstall it for better app names (Android Emulator, Gradle).

Install

First time? Install both packages — the service first, then the app:

  1. datasabi-collector_*_amd64.deb (or .rpm) — the background service
  2. DataSabi_*_amd64.deb (or .rpm / .AppImage) — the desktop app

Then log out and back in so your user can reach the service.

Full install guide: https://arkodeon.com/datasabi/docs/install-ubuntu-debian

Updating? The app updates itself. Reinstall the collector only if the release notes say so.
