Highlights

• Offline usage history. Devices without internet log a snapshot every 5 minutes, about 7.7 days of storage. After a Bluetooth payment, the eCandle App hands the records to the platform. Each batch is signed by the device and verified before it is stored. (firmware 5.5 and later)
• Pay-to-power on every output. AC, DC and USB all switch on after payment and off when the time runs out. Tested with both WiFi and Bluetooth payments. (firmware 5.4 and later)
• Signed firmware and encrypted device links. Devices only install firmware signed by eCandle and refuse rollbacks. Each device has its own MQTT credentials over TLS.
• Payer accounts without personal data. A recovery code brings a customer's orders and repair tickets to any phone.
• Zero-touch key provisioning. Each device creates its own secret key and registers it encrypted.

Platform v0.14.1

• Offline history: devices upload their records through the App; admins see recorded, confirmed and waiting records on each device page.
• Counter sync tool to bring a device back in step with the platform, with an audit trail.
• Operator back office: shift cash reconciliation, firmware fleet view with batch updates confirmed by the device, Bluetooth key management, audit log.
• Payer accounts with recovery codes; repair-ticket progress for customers.
• One price list for all devices, including night, day and week passes on clock-billed devices; per-device daily usage and revenue; one payment funnel across App and web.
• Reliability: automatic tests on every change, 24/7 uptime monitoring with alerts, tested backup restores.

eCandle App

Version 1.1.0 (Android, com.arkreen.ecandle). Installs over 1.0.0 and keeps payment history and the recovery code. From this version on, small updates arrive on their own: close and reopen the app twice.

• Plans with prices. The device page shows the operator's price list: 15 min to 4 hours, and on some devices Night (12 h), Day (24 h) and Week (7 days).
• Add more time, with reminders. One tap renews your last plan; the new time is added after the time you still have. A notification comes 10 minutes before your time ends, and another when it ends.
• Pay for someone else. Share a payment link for a device on WhatsApp or by SMS.
• Recovery code. The first payment creates a 12-character code, shown in My payments. Enter it on a new phone to bring your payments back.
• For operators: payment funnel (App and web page shown separately), power use per device for the last 14 days, CSV export of payments. On devices with firmware 5.5 and later, sending credit over Bluetooth also uploads the device's offline power-use records.

Phones on 1.0.0 received most of these as small updates; installing 1.1.0 keeps future updates coming.

Device firmware

• 5.5: offline usage history (records every 5 minutes while offline, uploaded over Bluetooth).
• 5.4: payment controls all three outputs; a device with no payment and no charger switches itself off after about 5 minutes.
• 5.x: signed updates with rollback protection, per-device encrypted MQTT, steadier WiFi after boot.

Firmware 5.x is in field pilot. Signed images will be attached here once it is released to the fleet.
