MD QuickLook 1.2.0
Mermaid diagrams
```mermaid blocks are now drawn as diagrams, natively: no browser, no JavaScript. Flowchart, sequence, class, state, ER, pie, mind map, git graph and more, in light and dark. Diagrams are drawn in the background, so documents still open instantly; a diagram that cannot be drawn stays visible as its source. See examples/diagrams.md.
Layout comes from mermaid-rs-renderer, which is young: Gantt dates and timelines with several events per period differ from mermaid.js.
Check for updates
The app can now update itself: Check Now (or MD QuickLook ▸ Check for Updates…), then Install and Relaunch. It downloads the release from this repository only and verifies it before replacing itself. With Check for updates automatically on, it looks once a day when you open it. The Quick Look extensions still never use the network.
This version is the first one that can do this, so please install it the usual way:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/armamut/md-quicklook/main/scripts/install.sh | bashMath
- Braces, brackets and arrows over or under a formula, stretched to any width:
\overbrace,\underbrace(with labels),\overbracket,\underbracket,\overgroup,\undergroup,\overlinesegment,\underlinesegment,\Overrightarrow, harpoons, under-arrows,\utilde. - Accents
\mathring,\dddot,\ddddot,\widecheck,\underbar. - Fixed: a formula or diagram line no longer gets extra space above it; long unparsable source wraps instead of being cut off.
- 93.9% of KaTeX's function reference now typesets (was 91.5%). See docs/math.md for what is supported and examples/math-unsupported.md for what is not, as drawn by the preview.
Smaller app
Both extensions now share one library, so the app stays at 30 MB (13 MB download) despite the diagram renderer.
Fixes
- Front matter keys no longer take too much room in narrow previews.
- Space after tables.
