Skillware v0.5.0 ships the first office mail skill for agent workflows, a CI guard for registry manifest identity, clearer path-resolution documentation, and a small meta cleanup around release drafts.

Install

pip install -U skillware
pip install "skillware[office_gmail_handler]"

What's new

Added

  • office/gmail_handler — deterministic Gmail IMAP/SMTP handler for agent mail workflows: address-book recipient resolution, preview/confirm send and reply, inbox search/read, sent-folder and send-ledger search, scan cursor, and context carry-forward (#208, #291).
  • Examples: examples/gmail_handler_demo.py (mocked flow, no live credentials) and examples/gemini_gmail_handler.py (interactive Gemini tool loop; demo via GMAIL_HANDLER_EXAMPLE_DEMO=1).
  • Documentation: docs/skills/gmail_handler.md — integration guide, env setup, actions, and address book schema.
  • CI: tests/test_registry_identity.py — asserts registry-layout manifest.name matches folder path and that manifest names are globally unique (#280, #288).

Changed

  • Documentation: README, introduction, vision, skill trust model, and CLI usage — legacy vs config path resolution, tier order, and bundled registry availability without a local skills/ tree (#289).

Removed

  • Meta: Removed maintainer-only GitHub release draft (.github/RELEASE_v0.4.9.md); use CHANGELOG.md + GitHub Releases UI (#290).

Contributors

Thanks to everyone who landed work since v0.4.9:

  • @rosspeili — office/gmail_handler skill bundle, examples, and docs (#291); path-resolution documentation (#289); release draft cleanup (#290); release cut
  • @UroojFatima-052 — registry manifest identity CI guard (#288)
