Entities
This page contains the entities that are added by Relix.
Attendants are entities that start rituals. They are invincible and disappear when the ritual is finished, or after 20 seconds if they cannot complete their ritual.
This dynamic duo brings the groove for the Pharaoh's grand entrance! One of the attendants places a jukebox and the other spins some fresh tunes.
This studious stud has spent the last ten-thousand years sleeping in a coffin, only to be disturbed by unwary players completing their ritual. Once awakened, the pharaoh will attack with their magical staff and knowledge of the lost magics.
By default, the pharaoh will target the nearest player and attack them by shooting homing bolts of ancient energy towards them. Once in a while, the pharaoh will decide to perform one of the following special attacks:
If there is a player within 4 blocks of the pharaoh, it will decide to swing its large staff around in a circle. This pushes back all players (and unfortunate entities caught in the attack) that are within an 8 block radius, dealing damage along the way.
If there are no players nearby, the pharaoh will summon a horde of the Unburied. These ancient warriors were sacrificed as part of the burial ritual, and will defend their master to the ends of the overworld. If the Unburied are already present, the pharaoh will not summon a new horde.
While the Unburied are alive, the pharaoh is protected by their magical energy (and thus invulnerable). If you lose track of the Unburied, you can hit the pharaoh to show the soul links connecting The Unburied to it in order to find where they went.
The Unburied are a dangerous group of enemies. The Parched can easily overwhelm a player with their Weakness effect, while the hunger-inducing Husks block the path towards the Pharaoh.
While the Unburied are alive, the pharaoh will take its time to read through the ancient manuscripts, casting a spell on all players with a 16x8x16 cylindrical area around it. Players that are in range will be affected by the Time Dilation effect for 10 seconds, slowing down their (re)actions and heavily increasing the difficulty of the fight.
Players strong enough to give the pharaoh a taste of their own medicine are handsomely rewarded. The Pharaoh drops the following items when killed:
- 1x Sacred Gemstone (when killed by a player)
- 1x Pharaoh's Headdress
- 1x Music Disc (the jukebox placed by the attendants is destroyed, dropping the disc)
Due to the variety of special attacks and debuffs that the Pharaoh and his legion can affect you with, approaching the fight without a plan can easily result in failure. Use the following tips to prepare your attack strategy for the fight:
- The pharaoh is best challenged by players wearing armor of diamond or better quality (although skilled players can get by with iron gear).
- Bring golden apples or buckets of milk! The time dilation effect cannot be underestimated, and quickly leads to a player's demise.
- Take care to block Parched arrows. The weakness effect they apply can turn the Unburied from a small hurdle into a major obstacle.
- Look at the pharaoh's animations: he will announce the special attacks he performs, giving observant players the time to make smart decisions.
- If you wish to avoid getting time dilation, either bait the pharaoh into a shockwave attack by approaching it, or run away from the Pharaoh so you are outside of the range of effect.
