Potion Effects

Time Dilation

A nasty effect which slows the player's reaction speed (or perception of time). When under the effect of time dilation:

  • Cooldowns on items take twice as long (e.g. ender pearls, shields when broken with axe)
  • Attack cooldown takes twice as long (it will take longer for your sword to reach maximum power)
  • Item use takes twice as long: this includes a whole variety of item uses, such as drawing your bow, blocking with your shield, and eating food among others.

NOTE: There is currently a visual bug with shield blocking during time dilation. The shield blocking animation does not depend on the usage duration, and therefore it looks like blocking does not work while in fact it just takes longer than normal for the shield to actually perform the blocking action.

Potion Resistance

NOTE: Not a real potion effect, the player is granted this 'effect' whenever they wear Sacred Gold Armor.

Potion Resistance grants the wearer reduced duration of potion effects. More specifically, the wearer receives:

  • A 75% duration reduction on harmful potion effects.
  • A 25% duration reduction on beneficial potion effects.
  • Immunity to Time Dilation

World Generation

Suspicious Sand

In Desert Temples, you will now find up to 7 patches of sand that fill the central chamber and/or the insides of the two towers in front. These patches always contain 1 block of suspicious sand, and 2-3 of those blocks will guarantee a Hieroglyph Tablet when brushed (assuming there are at least 2-3 patches that spawn in the temple).

Besides this, the default archaeology loot table for Desert Temples and Desert Wells has been updated to include the tablet as one of the possible drops. This means that per desert temple you are usually guaranteed between 2 and 12(!) tablets.

Villager Trades

Cartographers

Cartographers now sell a Desert Explorer Map alongside their other options at trading level 2. This map shows the player the way to the nearest Desert Temple.

Commands

Pharaoh Visual

Usage: /pharaohvisual <on|off> This command is used to debug the custom shaders that are displayed when a pharaoh is in range. It has no use in actual gameplay.

Reroll Pharaoh Summoning Requirements

Usage: /reroll_pharaoh_summon This command is used to re-roll the summoning requirements for the pharaoh for the world the player is currently in. This effect is PERMANENT, and should not be used unless you cannot meet the current requirements, or the requirements need to be updated from legacy behaviour in previous releases (in which case the changelog will tell you so).
