Just a simple question ;) the last commit some years ago and the issues are mostly just hanging around?

Well, the last commit was actually January 6th. But only a few in the last couple years and they are all minor bug fixes. I use the software a lot but I guess it's time for us to accept development has come to an end.

This project currently only has one maintainer.
You can't expect a sole maintainer to keep developing for zero money.
Nothing is stopping you from contributing patches.

Nobody was complaining. Nobody said they expected anyone to do anything.
You can't expect that every user has the knowledge or ability to contribute.

Perhaps ask yourself why you thought this polite question needed such an aggressive response.

Feel free to use a thesaurus - rude, sarcastic, hostile, take your pick. I'm quite sure you understood, and again I'd propose taking the opportunity to consider the lens you view others through and why you are so prone to interpret them as antagonistic.

Last commit was about a month ago, but the project is generally not being actively developed. I don't really have much time for it. Many issues are duplicates etc. The program is generally functional and works when built from source. The released packages need specific python versions to be available (which are a bit old at this point).

I have been considering archiving the project as many of the potential improvements require updating various aspects of the GUI and I don't really want to deal with that aspect.

I am quite happy to compile it, it works fine on Ubuntu 24.4.04 LTS, and macos. The only issue is that brew.sh seems to be deprecating it, but i can ignore that. Please don't shutter the project, just let it ride.
