Any way to check actual progress?

I have a comparison running and it ran for a few days with the Checking xxxxxx/xxxxxx message. Then it got the to 'Scanning for Duplicates 0 Matches found from 0 groups' box. The progress bar moved to about 20% and has just been hanging there for about 6 days, not moving at all.
I have seen people online mention that happens and then one day it just jumps up and finishes, so I have continued to wait. But other say theirs never recovers after being static like that. System says its jumping from using between 15% to 35% CPU, and the memory usage is up to 45GB, but no indication its still actually doing anything.
Is there any manual way to see if its still processing (on a mac)? Like is there a file somewhere that I can tail to see if its still processing info or anything?

Sorry, Nevermind, idea dawned on me moments after I posted:
fs_usage -w | grep -i dupeguru
confirms it is still reading files.
