0.24.0
Overnight tasks: a task can now run past midnight (e.g. 11 PM – 3 AM). Set an end time earlier than the start and it ends the next day. On the Timeline, bars run across midnight into the next day, and yesterday's late task shows on today's view. Drag a task past 12 AM to move it to the next day, or drag its right edge past midnight to extend it. The Calendar shows it until midnight and continues it the next morning. Works on desktop and mobile.
0.23.1
Fix: task reminders now fire right at the start of the minute (a 9:00 task notifies at 9:00:00) instead of up to 15 seconds late. Applies to desktop notifications and the phone in-app banner.
0.23.0
New: task reminders. Settings > Routine Timeline > Notifications.
- Remind me when a task starts, or 5/10/15/30 minutes before (optionally both).
- Sound: your system's default notification sound, a built-in tone (Chime, Bell, Ding, Soft pop) with a play button, or none.
- Send test notification button.
- Desktop shows a real system notification; clicking it opens the timeline. How long it stays follows your OS settings (on macOS set Obsidian to Alerts to keep it until dismissed).
- Phones: Obsidian gives plugins no system notifications, so reminders show as an in-app banner with sound while Obsidian is open.
- Saved per device, so you choose which devices remind you. Done tasks are skipped, and reminders missed while Obsidian was closed are not replayed.
The settings page is now grouped into Notifications, Calendars and Sync.
0.22.1
Mobile: in the Calendar layout on a phone (or any pane narrower than 640px) the month/calendars sidebar is now a drawer that starts closed, so the days and events get the full width. Tap the sidebar button to slide it over; picking a date or tapping outside closes it. Desktop keeps the fixed sidebar.
0.22.0
New: mobile/desktop sync. Tasks, databases and views are now saved in a regular vault file, Routine Timeline/routine-timeline.json, so any sync that carries your notes (LiveSync, Obsidian Sync with other file types on, Remotely Save, iCloud) carries your timeline to every device. Changes made on another device show up live.
Existing data moves into that file automatically the first time you open Obsidian on the device that has it. A fresh install that only has the sample tasks never overwrites the synced file. You can change the file path under Settings > Routine Timeline > Data file (use the same path on every device).
0.21.2
Fix: the color swatches in the Conditional color rule popover (gray/brown/orange/yellow/green/blue/purple/pink/red) weren't showing their actual color - forced the fill so each swatch is clearly visible and pickable.
0.21.1
Fix: the conditional color popover now opens to the left of the click point instead of off to the right (no more horizontal scrolling to see it), and the layout is tightened so a single rule no longer leaves a large empty gap below it.
0.21.0
New: column header type icons (text, # for number, calendar for date, checkbox, tags for select, circle-dot for status), like Notion - also in the New property / Change type menus.
New: a "..." button next to the header's "+" opens Property visibility - search, show/hide (eye icon, Hide all/Show all) and drag-reorder every property without leaving the table.
0.20.2
Fix: a single click on a Table cell now opens it for editing immediately, instead of needing a second click. The fill handle stays visible throughout.
0.20.1
Fix: the Table fill handle now moves instantly with cell selection instead of sticking to a previously selected cell. It's also bigger (hollow, colored border) and now works on the Status column too (Repeat and Comes after stay excluded - they aren't single copyable values).
Removed the extra "Switch database" ribbon icon; the dropdown in the tab bar (and the command palette) are enough.
