temporary space by Ludmila

I like to generate forms with the movement of people. For the Cultural Hacking presentation day, I proposed a choreography throughout the school in which we move and trigger the perception of the public.

Below you can read how I introduced the idea.

I bring you here because I want to tell my plan while we interfere in the traffic of the building.

It has to do with my research in Artscience, which is about blurring artwork and public.

What I try to do is create situations for people to play and discover something together.

I don't see it as a performance exactly. It's only what it is. It has to be easy for us to execute. No need for training or rehearsals.

So my idea is to go throughout the building forming a 'living space', and being on the way of the others - letting them pass through.

You just have to pay attention to the flow.

We stand in two rows, one in front of each other, creating a temporary corridor.

The last one in the right row will move forward, through the "living corridor" and stand beside the first person of the left row. As I'm doing right now.

Then the last person of the left row will move forward to stand beside the first person in the right side. As one of you can demonstrate now.

We will go upstairs this way and later downstairs, moving as living walls.

You are allowed to talk and walk as you like. Take your time. Lets see how long it takes until we are back to the classroom.

Observe the way we change the relations within the building. Please let some room for the others to move by. Perhaps they will like to join us.

I would like you to share your impressions later.
