Building without Nix
If you prefer not to use Nix, run the start-<platform>.sh scripts under the scripts folder directly. These are the same build entry points the Nix wrappers invoke — the difference is that you are responsible for installing the platform-specific dependencies and for providing a compatible toolchain.
Install the Android SDK and NDK, then set the ANDROID_SDK_ROOT and ANDROID_NDK_ROOT environment variables before running the script.
export ANDROID_SDK_ROOT=<Android SDK Path>
export ANDROID_NDK_ROOT=<Android NDK Path>
./scripts/start-android.sh
Install Xcode (with its command-line tools), then run:
./scripts/start-ios.sh
Install a C/C++ build toolchain and the required build tools (compilers, Autotools, pkg-config, etc.), then run:
./scripts/start-linux.sh
Install Xcode (with its command-line tools), then run:
./scripts/start-macos.sh
Install Xcode (with its command-line tools), then run:
./scripts/start-tvos.sh
The start-<platform>.sh scripts accept the same build options as the Nix wrappers (minus the -p/--profile argument). Run any of them with --help to see the available options.
