The following table shows the types of libraries produced by the FFmpegKitNext build scripts.

Notes:

  1. On Apple platforms, the primary distribution formats are xcframeworks and frameworks. The library types listed below are used to create these bundles
  2. On Linux, FFmpeg is linked against two sets of External Libraries. The first consists of static libraries downloaded and built by the FFmpegKitNext build scripts. The second consists of shared libraries installed manually on the host system. The table below shows only the former
  3. Supplementary Libraries are dependencies required to build External Libraries

The following table shows the library files included in FFmpegKitNext bundles.

On Linux, some libraries are statically linked into FFmpeg, while others are dynamically linked from the host system. Therefore, they are also not included in FFmpegKitNext bundles.
