NotchPlayer 0.9
New in v0.9
- Lyrics: click the microphone at the left of the controls in the open notch. The words scroll along with the song, the line being sung lights up and the rest are dimmed, like Spotify's lyrics. Click a line to jump to it. The notch stays open while the lyrics show; click the microphone again to close them.
- Big lyrics on the big cover: click the cover, then Lyrics in the bottom-right corner. The cover moves aside and the lyrics fill the right of the screen.
- Lyrics come from LRCLIB, a free lyrics site. NotchPlayer only asks while the lyrics are open, sends just the song's name, artist, album and length, and keeps them on your Mac after that. Popular songs nearly always have them; some smaller ones don't, or have the words without the timing.
- Works with Apple Music too.
After updating, the notch shows these once the first time you open it.

NotchPlayer 0.8
New in v0.8
- Big cover: click the cover in the open notch and it fills the screen, drifting and leaning toward your pointer, with a colour glow and a spinning record. Click anywhere or press Esc to close it.
- Up next now comes before your stats: one swipe from the player.
- Up next shows more: local files, and the songs Spotify's autoplay picks when a playlist, album or single song runs out. It also appears straight away instead of after a pause.
- The waveform beside the notch is lighter on your Mac.
After updating, the notch shows these once the first time you open it.

NotchPlayer 0.7
New in v0.7
- Up next: swipe left past your stats to see the next ten songs, with their covers and artists. Scroll down for more. Shuffle is included, and it works with Spotify full screen.
- It only shows the queue: add or remove songs in Spotify itself. A song you add appears when the next song starts, because that's when Spotify saves its queue.
- Spotify only for now; the page hides while Apple Music plays.
After updating, the notch shows these once the first time you open it.

NotchPlayer 0.6
New in v0.6
- Listening stats: swipe left on the open notch (or click the chart button at the end of the controls) for time listened, songs played, and your top artists and songs, today, this week, this month or all time. Spotify and Apple Music both count. Kept on your Mac only.
- Stats take the colour of the album cover, like the progress bar.
- Covers for songs streamed from Apple Music, which used to show the Music logo instead.
After updating, the notch shows these once the first time you open it.
