Event Series

Chris Carlevato edited this page Mar 27, 2017 · 1 revision

In Helios Calendar an event that occurs on multiple dates (a recurring event, multi-day event or multiple date event) is called an Event Series. An event series consists of multiple related “events” (individual event records within the database) that are closely related and have been identified by an administrator to be presented to the user as such.

In addition to creating an event series by publishing a recurring event, Helios Calendar also allows admin users to create new event series using existing events.

Event Search

  • Search Dates - Required. The date range to be searched.

  • Categories - Required. Filter search results by category. Only events assigned to selected categories will be returned.
  • Users - Optional. Search for events by Public User.

Event Series Search Results

  • Checkbox - To make an event part of the new series check the checkbox beside the event.

Creating a New Event Series

Once you have selected all the events you want to make part of the new series click the “Create Event Series” button at the bottom of the screen. The events will be grouped together in a series and will contain links in their public calendar details page to one another under the “Other Dates For This Event” heading.
