DuckySlicer 0.2.0 Alpha 12

  • Preserve profile drafts when closing editors and restore saved drafts after restarting the app.
  • Separate project Apply, saved-profile overwrite, and Save as copy actions; improve precise numeric entry and Basic/Expert settings.
  • Add preset and project import review, including unsupported settings and missing dependencies.
  • Improve wide-screen settings layout, camera restoration, and preview layer-range restoration.
  • Add connected-face color fill and height-range material assignment with project round-trip support.
  • Correct profile conversion defaults, percentage interpretation, and automatic line-width handling.

Experimental release

This is a public alpha, built locally and signed with the existing DuckySlicer release key. Local automated tests and emulator checks were performed. This release has not been qualified on a physical device, and production/desktop-parity qualification is incomplete. Back up projects and profiles before upgrading, and inspect exported G-code before printing. Not all imported slicer settings are supported; review import warnings.

ARM64 Android APK only. No Play Store submission.

This is an experimental alpha, not a production-qualified release. This build has not completed physical-device qualification.

  • Include default PNG thumbnails when the printer profile has no thumbnail configuration.
  • Keep unapplied profile edits when closing and reopening the settings sheet.
  • Simplify profile settings with a close button and Apply/Revert actions.
  • Update build and security tooling dependencies.

Local release build and focused emulator tests passed. Thumbnail display on a physical Klipper installation remains unverified. Re-slice and upload again to add thumbnails to existing files.

This alpha improves on-device slicing settings and output.

  • Fuzzy Skin now produces real textured perimeter geometry, with editable settings saved in profiles and projects.
  • Support styles now follow the selected Normal or Tree support type, including Tree Strong.
  • Invalid support type/style combinations from older profiles are corrected safely when loaded.
