[0.7.8] - 2026-09-05
This patch fixes the Windows npm-wrapper failures exposed by the independent
post-release package gate for v0.7.7. It does not move or replace the
immutable v0.7.7 tag or GitHub Release, and 0.7.8 remains a source
candidate until its own tag-bound native, release, and distribution gates pass.
Fixed
- Accept a Windows 8.3 lexical alias such as
RUNNER~1only when bigint
lstatvolume and file identifiers prove that the alias and native realpath
name the same filesystem object. Symlinks, junctions, other reparse escapes,
zero file identifiers, and identity mismatches remain fail-closed. - Run the bounded Windows ZIP extractor from a private temporary PowerShell
script with separately passed file arguments. Preserve the exact,
case-sensitive two-member archive contract and report sanitized extraction
or candidate-version phase failures without echoing child output or paths. - Make every native npm-wrapper regression command an independent workflow
step, so a later passing command cannot mask an earlier Windows failure. - Install and execute both wrappers from the exact matrix archive with fresh
caches on every native release runner, including Windows x64 and ARM64.
Breaking changes and migration
There are no intentional CLI, MCP, proxy, configuration, or network-policy
breaking changes. Existing v0.7.7 GitHub artifacts remain immutable. Do not
advertise or install v0.7.8 as a public release until its separately reviewed
release and package receipts exist.
