HapticScape 2.4.0

HapticScape 2.4.0 streamlines Remote Play setup and adds optional Discord-assisted session invitations

Highlights

  • Simplified the Remote Play connection interface.
  • Added Discord account linking.
  • Added Discord-assisted session requests.
  • Added Accept and Deny controls to Discord invitations.
  • Added secure application deep links for accepted requests.
  • Moved manual relay into an Advanced section.

Streamlined Remote Play

The Remote Play screen now presents two straightforward connection options:

  • Control a partner: Create and copy a temporary encrypted connection code.
  • Let a partner control you: Paste and join using a code received from a partner.

Connection codes remain temporary, single-use, and private. Manual relay configuration remains available under Advanced.

Discord integration

Users can now link their Discord account to HapticScape using a temporary one-time linking code.

The Discord application supports commands for:

  • Linking Discord to the local HapticScape client.
  • Checking whether the linked client is online.
  • Requesting a Remote Play session with another user.
  • Managing the linked connection.

Discord linking is optional. Manual connection codes continue to work without a Discord account.

Connection interface improvements

  • Added an Install Discord app button.
  • Added clear linked-account status.
  • Added Discord link and unlink controls.

HapticScape 2.3.0

Version 2.3.0 expands post-session settings locks, improves Remote Play usability, and restructures several internal systems for easier maintenance.

Granular settings locks

Controllers can now select individual settings or complete settings blocks for post-session locking.

Available lock targets include:

  • Haptic and click toggles for each skill.
  • The complete Feedback settings block.
  • The XP settings block for each individual skill.
  • The complete Generic Alerts block.
  • A separate settings block for each specific alert type.
  • The complete Click Settings block.
  • Individual phrase-click rules.

Lock targets are selected from the Subject workspace during an active Remote Play session.

  • Shift-click a checkbox to select that individual setting.
  • Shift-click a block padlock to select the complete block.
  • Shift-click a phrase-click entry to select that individual rule.
  • Shift-click a selected target again to remove it.

Open padlocks indicate selectable blocks. Closed orange padlocks indicate targets selected for locking.

Parent and child targets cannot overlap in the same proposal. Selecting a complete block replaces any individually selected settings inside that block.

Phrase-click rule locking

Phrase-click rules now have stable internal identifiers, allowing individual rules to remain lockable when edited or reordered.

Remote Play interface improvements

  • Moved the Remote Play button to the top of the main HapticScape panel.
  • Changed the default remote buzz duration from 50 ms to 500 ms.
  • Remote buzz intensity now defaults to the participant’s configured maximum.
  • Prevented Emergency Off state updates from resetting the visible panel position.
  • Improved six-tab sidebar sizing to prevent lower controls from being clipped.
  • Added fixed-size lock indicators throughout the settings interface.
  • Added hover instructions for block and individual lock controls.

Internal refactoring

  • Split remote-session responsibilities into more focused lifecycle, settings, permissions, lock, action, and live-control components.
  • Reduced direct protocol handling inside the main remote-session coordinator.
  • Preserved existing encrypted transport and participant-side safety enforcement.
  • Improved separation between RuneLite event handling, feedback coordination, and plugin lifecycle behavior.

HapticScape 2.0.0

HapticScape 2.0 turns Remote Control from a small settings popup into a complete, encrypted, consent-scoped remote interaction system.

Highlights

  • Added remote haptic, click, desktop-notification, and local chatbox actions.
  • Added an encrypted Saved Unlock Keys vault for approved post-session locks.
  • Added subject-owned permissions, safety limits, Emergency Off, and Resume controls.

Remote actions

Controllers can now:

  • Send bounded haptic patterns with a requested intensity and duration.
  • Immediately stop remote haptic output.
  • Play a click through the subject’s client.
  • Send RuneLite desktop notifications.
  • Display clearly labeled, local-only messages in the subject’s RuneLite chatbox.

Local chatbox messages are rendered only inside RuneLite and are never submitted to Jagex or sent as in-game chat.

Consent and safety

The subject remains authoritative throughout every session.

Subject-owned controls include:

  • Permission to synchronize feedback settings.
  • Permission to send haptic actions.
  • Permission to play click sounds.
  • Permission to display desktop notifications.
  • Permission to display local chatbox notices.
  • Maximum remote intensity.
  • Maximum remote duration.
  • Emergency Off, Resume, and End Session.

These controls cannot be changed or locked remotely. Remote output also continues to respect Intiface state, disconnect cleanup, haptic scheduling, and local safety gates.

Saved Unlock Keys

Controllers can optionally retain unlock keys for post-session settings locks.

  • Keys are saved only after the subject explicitly accepts the lock.
  • Pending, declined, cancelled, and failed requests are not retained.
  • Invitation and session-encryption keys remain temporary.
  • Saved unlock keys are protected using Windows DPAPI and bound to the current Windows account.
  • Entries support custom labels, notes, creation dates, last-used dates, copying, and deletion.

Interface improvements

  • Added smooth page scrolling from anywhere in the panel, including over buttons, sliders, text fields, and other controls.
