This release contains prebuilt binaries for Windows 10/11 and Linux (tested on Ubuntu 2024.04, but might run on other distros as well)

Windows

The Windows ZIP-file contains pupusolver.exe as well as the required SDL DLLs.

  1. Download pupusolver-20241104-win-x86_64.zip and unzip it (e.g. to c:).
  2. Start a command shell (Press Windows-R, then enter cmd, press enter)
  3. In the shell, cd the pupusolver directory (e.g. cd c:\pupusolver-20241104-win-x86_64)
  4. Start pupusolver with pupusolver -level <leveldata>, or pupusolver -screenshot <path-to-screenshot>

Linux

The Linux ZIP-file contains a (mostly) statically linked pupusolver binary. Only libm.so.6, libz.so.1, and libc.so.6 are dynamically linked. These libs should bei available by default on most modern Linux distributions. It was tested on a vanilla Ubuntu 2024.04, but it will probably run on many other distributions.

  1. Download pupusolver-20241104-linux-x86_64.zip
  2. Unpack the zip file, e.g. unzip pupusolver-20241104-linux-x86_64.zip
  3. cd pupusolver-20241104-linux-x86_64
  4. Start pupusolver with ./pupusolver -level <leveldata>, or ./pupusolver -screenshot <path-to-screenshot>
