Core 2.14.0 adds bilingual interface text, SSH connection improvements and clearer external-agent workflows.
Changes
- Use English or Traditional Chinese in the browser interface. Translation review tables are included; the eight-language expansion remains a draft, not eight enabled languages.
- Copy the Agent Info URL directly and expand additional connection instructions only when needed. Improve cross-tab transfer feedback and preserve explicit terminal targets.
- Bound agent capture
wait_msover the whole capture without automatically resending commands after an uncertain result. - Edit Direct SSH settings inline, manage saved routes consistently, preview terminal colors and use ordinary browser popouts when Document Picture-in-Picture is unavailable.
- Create user-managed SSH TCP tunnels. In WSL, optionally use Windows networking for the first SSH hop through the collapsed Advanced controls; SSH authentication stays in Core.
- Advertise terminal RGB capabilities while retaining
TERM=xterm-256color. Older remote tmux versions may still require explicit RGB configuration. - Keep a Desktop-owned login valid for its backend lifetime while preserving normal browser and external-agent authorization policies.
Source and validation
Release source: 0c8e7f44409bf0d6a32d8c24efce5cba407742df (Release Desktop 0.5.3 with Core 2.14.0). Core headless suites and targeted browser acceptance passed; the exact-source Mac validation also passed the complete headless runner.
This is a Core source release. For ready-to-install Windows x64 and macOS Apple Silicon packages, use Desktop 0.5.3 / Core 2.14.0. Desktop remains an evaluation pre-release: window restoration has a known cumulative geometry drift on macOS, with cross-platform follow-up pending.
